Description
The first bobbin on the market that allows you to choose the length of the tube. Choose between the trout (short head) or the predator (large head) to give you a custom fit for the size of your hand or fly.
The steel carbide tubes draw the heat away from your thread so you won’t damage the thread.
To swap heads unscrew the head on the bobbin and remove it. Take the other tube and head and slide them onto the bobbin, select the tube length, and tighten.
It could not be easier!
We put the choice in your hands…

Having tied flies for most of my life you fall into habits and certain tools to do the job. At this point I tie Classic Atlantic Salmon flies, and there is a level of precision required to do a good job. Ben approached me and showed me his latest product in bobbins. He is a no nonsense man, and it took some persuasion to talk me into trying the xact bobbin. It’s all I use now, the flat sides fit my hand allowing for pressure to be applied so I can put my thread to its maximum strength. The adjustments for tube length is ingenious!! I now have 3, and they are all I use now! Great products, do yourself a favor and get one you won’t be disappointed! Glenn Wilson

This bobbin has it all!! You can quickly transform it from a shorty to a long tube bobbin so you can maximize thread control. It is super easy to use and adjust. I love the feel of a weighted bobbin and this little gem can take a brass spool so you can easily add a little weight to it if you like. The ergonomics makes it feel right at home in your hands. I highly recommend it and the color is pretty cool too.

I’ve used a lot of bobbins over the years. This one fits my smaller hands extremely well-being able to adjust the length us a huge benefit. It feels very comfortable and is a nice weight. I tie a variety of flies from large streams to small dry flies. The ability to switch out the tubes depending on the fly style and thread size is great!! Awesome product!

I purchased my first Raidzap Xact Bobbin last year and now have 4 of them. I really like how the bobbin feels in my hand and the ability to be able to adjust the tube length is nice as well. I use weighted spools and with the bobbins I have used previously there is not enough tension to keep the spool suspended when released. I have not had this problem with the Raidzap bobbin.
